Delivery of shed kits and steel frames
Lockyer Sheds delivers shed, garage and carport kits and made-to-plan steel wall frames, roof trusses and floor systems from Crowley Vale in the Lockyer Valley. Frames go to building sites across the Darling Downs, Lockyer Valley, Somerset, Brisbane and South East Queensland and northern NSW; shed kits are delivered further afield, and Australia-wide by arrangement. Every load is packed and labelled to its drawings and booked to suit the site.

Where we deliver
Steel frames go from Crowley Vale to the Toowoomba region and Darling Downs, the Lockyer Valley and Somerset, the Western and Southern Downs, Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redland and the Scenic Rim, and to northern NSW. Goondiwindi, Stanthorpe, Chinchilla and Roma are outside our regular frame run and are delivered by arrangement.
Shed, garage and carport kits travel further: we deliver them throughout Queensland and, by arrangement, Australia-wide. The service areas section of this site lists the towns we serve. If your town is not listed, give us the site address and we will confirm.
Booking the delivery
Delivery is booked for your job once it is scheduled, to suit your slab and crew. Multi-unit frame projects can be delivered in stages, for example one building or one stage at a time.
Timing depends on the job and our production schedule, so it is confirmed with your quote and booked when the drawings are approved rather than promised in advance.
Site access
Tell us about access before the truck is booked: narrow streets, steep driveways, gate widths, soft ground, overhead power lines and where the load can be set down. Kits and frames need a clear, level area to be unloaded.
Store steel off the ground on bearers, flat, covered and dry until it is used.
Checking the delivery
Each delivery comes with a packing list that matches the labels on the drawings. Check it on unloading and tell us straight away if anything is missing or damaged.
Keep the drawings with the delivery. The crew finds each panel, truss or shed component by its label, so bundles should stay tagged until the parts are used.
Delivered, or delivered and built
Most kits are delivered for the customer's own crew to stand. In Queensland, shed construction and frame erection can be quoted with the delivery under the QBCC licence held by Builtwise Group Pty Ltd, which trades as Lockyer Sheds. Outside Queensland we supply and deliver only.
Things to know
- Storage and corrosion
- BlueScope advises using TRUECORE® steel within six months to avoid storage-related corrosion. Keep frames and kit components dry and off the ground.
- Coastal sites
- BlueScope does not provide a TRUECORE® frame warranty within 300 m of surf or exposed marine influences. If your site is near breaking surf, check BlueScope's terms before ordering.
