What comes in the kit
A kit includes the steel frame (columns, rafters, purlins, girts and brackets), cladding and flashings, all fasteners, the doors and windows you ordered, engineering drawings for the approval and assembly instructions. Frame members are pre-punched for bolt-together assembly.
Extras such as insulation, skylights, whirlybirds and additional doors are added to the design and the kit list, so everything arrives together.
Engineered for your site
A kit is not a one-size product. We design it for your address, wind rating and intended use, and the engineering drawings go with your building approval application. Council rules differ, so check yours, or let us prepare the approval paperwork for you.
Delivered to your door
We deliver kits to site across Queensland and beyond; give us your postcode and access details and we confirm delivery with the quote. Plan where the kit will be unloaded and stored, off the ground and covered, until you are ready to build.

Instructions walk through the build step by step, and our team is a phone call away if you hit a snag. If you decide partway that you would rather have it built, we can quote that too anywhere in our Queensland service area.

Design considerations
- Build it exactly to the drawings
- The engineering drawings, not a 3D render, are the authority for footings, bracing and fixings. Changing a door position or leaving out bracing can void the engineering, so ask us before changing anything.
- Owner-builder permits
- In Queensland you need a QBCC owner-builder permit to carry out or supervise building work on your own land valued over $11,000 (including GST), costed as if a licensed contractor did the job. QBCC also limits what owner-builders can build.
- Wind rating
- Kits are engineered for your site's wind actions under AS/NZS 1170.2 or AS 4055. Tell us about nearby hills, open paddocks or water so the design speed is right.
- Fasteners near the coast
- BlueScope specifies fastener classes by distance from the coast, and stainless steel fasteners are not compatible with COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME® steel. Use the fasteners supplied with the kit.

What is included in a shed kit?
The steel frame, cladding and flashings, all fasteners, the doors and windows you ordered, engineering drawings for the approval and step-by-step assembly instructions.

Across Queensland and beyond. Give us your postcode and site access details and we confirm delivery with the quote.
Are the kits council approved?
Kits are engineered for your site and come with drawings for the building approval, but the approval itself is decided by your certifier or council. We can prepare the paperwork for you.
Do I need an owner-builder permit?
In Queensland, if the building work is valued over $11,000 including GST, costed as if a licensed contractor did it, you need a QBCC owner-builder permit.
Can I get help during the build?
Yes. The instructions cover each step, and our team is available by phone if you have questions during the build.
Can you build the kit for me instead?
Yes, anywhere in our Queensland service area. We can quote the same design as a kit and as a built shed so you can compare.
